I have a Phaser 340 that is giving me a problem. It says Falut 04, 005. 44: 15791. Could anybody help me with this?

Thanks,

From looking through other posts here, and having the problem myself, I was able to determine that the fix is fairly simple.

Here is a quote from another thread...

Your error just needs a Drum Maitence Clutch replaced. Easy fix. Takes about 5 mins to do. part# 401-0710-01.. Cost about $19 (posted by MDA2)

You can order them new from Tektronix, or I exchanged some email with some other folks that have used ones for $ 10 + shipping. they have a web site
I ordered mine from Tektronix (long story). I have had an email
exchange with a Tek tech who said the fix is fairly simple, Take off the top cover and the left side cover (left side while looking at the printer) and you will see the cluth assm.

I will be doing mine when my part gets here.

Post here is you need soem help and I will try to respond.

Is it possible for the clutch to just be jammed, etc? Or is it busted?

Thanks,
