I have a user that keeps getting the voice mail light displaying on the phone but when they try and pick up the voice mail the system says that he has no new voice mails.
I've had this where by a old mailbox was deleted before all messages were erased. Then I would get a similar symptom ie message waiting but no mailbox.
Cleared this by recreating the mailbox. log in once, and then delete the mailbox.
What voicemail system do you have? Meridian Mail or Call Pilot? If Meridian Mail, read on.
From User Administration, select Find. Scroll down to Extension Number (DN). Do a search for both Key 0 and Key 1 extensions individually if Key 1's DN is different than Key 0. You will get a list of the local voice users the DN resides in. Hope this helps.
You might want to look for a mailbox that have the message waiting dn different from the mailbox number. The mailbox that does not have new messages may be programed on a different mailbox as the msg waiting dn. Hopfully you dont have alot of mailboxes. If so may take some time
