I need some assistance please everyone...i know that i have run across this issue in the past, but i cannot remember how to resolve? i have a CS1000e 7.5 with Call Pilot 5.0, and everything was recently patched. We use several phantoms / CDNs / etc, and since patching it seems we have issues with forwarding of calls like they did before patching. However, i need to set up now a mailbox that gives a message that users extensions are no longer available and gives a toll free to call (no message can be left). I have the ext programmed okay and i get the recording, but when i go to DCFW extensions to this number i get "subscriber does not exist." I have tried putting the DCFW number in as a phantom to VM, an ACD, an IDC; but nothing works. I have tried changing CLS SFA FTTU/FTTC etc. I know that we have done this in the past, but i am getting older and dont remember all tricks like i used to ;). Thanks for any assistance!

When CP say "subscriber does not exist" it also reads back the number that doesn't exist - that number has to exist as a mailbox, extension DN or SDN in CP.

I have the DN 5919 programmed as a phantom to DCFW to VM DN (but also tried as an ACD DFDN to VM), and a "vacant" DID/DN/ext programmed as a phantom DCFW to 5919. This 5919 is a MB in CP that plays a message only "extension no longer exists please call xxx-xxx-xxxx. What I get when calling the 5919 direct is the correct recording, but when dialing the vacant extension that is DCFW to 5919 then I get the "does not subscribe" recording because it sees the original DN not the DCFW DN. I know in the past that I have had this issue and corrected somehow, but I cannot remember what I had to do to get it to work? I have also tried using IDC. I cant put in DN in MB because ultimately this will be used for any and all ones that are vacant with in this dept at a given time. Please any assistance from those knowledgeable is greatly appreciated!

Create a Phantom number, pointed to CP, and set in up the SDN table. It sounds like 5919 works. Either way, get it to the point where it plays the right greeting.

For all of your "unused DIDs", IDC them to 5919.

Make sure the Route is set up with the DCNO and NCNO of the IDC table you are using

thank you! I will check again tomorrow, but I tried adding the 5919 to sdn but it wouldn't allow because it is a MB with a recorded greeting I presumed? I will give this a try again. Right now I have the DIDs in IDC and that IDC in the route; and for the non DIDs I have them as phantoms DCFW to VM DN, and on MB 5919 I have these DNs as extension DNs for that MB (only problem is I can only add 7 here this way and I will need more in the future). It works okay for now until I need to add more ;)

If you want to play a message to unassigned numbers, you probably want an Announcement rather than a mailbox. But you can use a mailbox if you set "No Message Reception". You do not need an SDN entry if you choose to use a regular mailbox.

Don't worry about the non-DIDs - those are only called by your internal employees. Nobody else can call those.
