I have never had this problem before......I would like to have a night service button on a receptionist's phone which would then forward all calls to a hunt group with one phantom station group member with unconditional forwarding turned on to call an answering service. Turning queuing on yields ring no answer. Turning queuing off yields a busy signal. System is running 4.1 (9).

Any ideas? Thanks.

So your dummy member is forwarded to the number?. It works like this on earlier versions of software but better now to create a shortcode and forward the user to the shortcode as mentioned before.

i will try the short code idea before i upgrade this system.

Does the group number work when you call it?

You must set the fantom hunt to "sequential" otherwise it will never work.

definetly create a base extension to match the phantom. I had exactly the same issue until I did this on 4.19

I do this all the time with no issues.
Create phantom User with no base extn. Set User call fwd to a shortcode Say:
Code: *59
Feature: Dial
Telephone Num: Whatever the number is

And tick all forwarding options for user.

Set your night group to sequential, and just have your forwarding extn in the group.

You should be able to dial the shortcode, extn or the group and get to your dstination

I do it all the time also until a recent 4.19 where it didn;t work until i matched the base

I have had to match to a base when using phantoms since 4.0 came out. Never a problme before. I just creat VOIP users for them.

This works 100%. Never had an issue.

Create a User (with VOIP base extn). Give it unique name and extn number. Set the forward destination to the external number you want the lines diverted to in Forward Unconditional. Tick Forward Unconditional and Forward Hunt Grioup Call. Also Tick Forward Internal calls (for testing). Create a new group. Give it a unique name and extn number. Put the Forward user as the only member of that group. make the group Seq. Turn off V/M and Q'ing. On the Main group set the new group as the Night service (Or OOS if you want) Destination. Put the Main group into Night Service using a key or Short Code. Get your maobile and ring the number.

OR....
Put the Phantom user as the Fallback Destination in the ICR and put the Main group into OOS with no OOS destination assigned.

Job done time to go home!!!! ;-)
