I just upgraded my computer to
cpu: Intel Core2Duo E6600
mb: MSI P6n 650i SLI Platinum
Video card: EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb
hard drive: 2 WD Caviar SE16 320GB SATA Raid0
memory: Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400C4 @4-4-4-12
optical drives:Lite-On LH20-A1S SATA
Yamaha 3200e IDE
mouse: Logitech G5 Laser mouse
OS: WindowsXP SP2 updated to mid May
The issue is that System Information reports a Problem Device Logitech Compatible PS/2 mouse.
There is no PS/2 mouse connected to the computer.
I have tried to uninstall the PS/2 mouse in Device Manager.
This works until I reboot, then the problem returns. I have also tried to create a new hardware profile with the same results.
The problem is independent of the Set Point software. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated to noavail.
I have the latest Bios and Drivers for the motherboard.
Any ideas?
