PGP SDK SERVICE ERROR ON STARTUP

I have changed none of the settings on the PC I use with PGP, but the "Cannot establish connection with the PGP SDK service" error message has appeared for the first time today. This has obviously stopped me from starting or accessing PGP.

I also get a "blue screen" on startup (luckily not fatal) that tells me that a .vxd file is missing. I have tried restoring a working copy of the registry, but this didn't help.

Having changed nothing, this is totally baffling me and as a very casual user of PGP I am not too technical with it.

Can anybody help please?

I had the same problem. It turned out to be my "Client for Network" had be removed and PGP wouldn't start. Once I put the Microsoft Client for Network back on, it worked fine.
