PEStartPrintJob() Error : JOB FAILED

I am working on a C++ application that can schedule and export crystal reports.The app uses Crystal 8.5 API calls. It mostly works fine but occasionally, say after running continuously for about two to three weeks, the same print job that worked perfectly so far fails with GetJobStatus() returning 'PEP_JOBFAILED'. Thereafter all the following print jobs also fail. The crystal job is closed after each print job is executed but the engine remains open for the entire period. Restarting the application fixes the problem.

Does anybody out there who dealt with report schedulers came across this problem?

Any help/suggestion is highly appreciated.

I don't know if this will be any help, but the only time I have ever found problems with the running of reports after x amount of time had to do with disk space on the PC. Check the TEMP Environment variable, and make sure that there is ample space on that drive. That is, even if you are running your application on the D:\ drive and you have Giga Bytes spare, if your C:\ drive has only a couple of hundred meg free, you might get into problems. This is because Crystal uses the TEMP folder for temporary files that are used to help it sort & filter.
