We have recenlty upgraded to Windows 2003 server, successfully migrated our Maximizer/Pervasive database, but now we cannot assign a Windows Authentication name to one of our users. We get the error that states:

"The Windows user name "Domain\User" has already been defined for another Maximizer User ID. YOu cannot use the same Windows user name for two different user IDs (USER and )."

However, I cannot find the a user that also has the suspect user in their authentication section.

Are there config files that can be edited to fix this? Is this a corruption, or a product of migration? Maximizer knowledge base does not help, and our support contract has run out.

Please help if you are able.

Were you able to solve this?

What version of Maximizer do you run? We are running Maximizer 8.0 with Pervasive 8 and all HELL is the result.

No we were never able to solve this problem. The user just lives with it. It has something to do with when we we're converting over from Sharkware. We are still using Max 7.5.
