I have installed Pervasive 2000 client software on a workstation and I am trying to use this to open and inspect Btrieve (v6.0) files on a Novell file server.
I have several questions that should be pretty simple for someone who is familiar with Pervasive, Btrieve and Novell.
1) How would you approach this challenge (in simple, brief narrative)?
2) How can I tell whether I have installed the workgroup or the server engine on this Windows XP Pro workstation?
3) What might cause me to be able to use the Pervasive client to create a database on the server, yet prevent me from enumerating tables in that same database? When I click the plus beside my database in PCC, I get this error:
"[Pervasive][Pervasive ODBC Client Interface][Pervasive ODBC Client Interface][Pervasive ODBC Client Interface LNA]The ODBC Client Interface cannot access the data source because the server could not be located on the network. Contact your system administrator for assistance."
Please help!
