In Microsoft Outlook, is there a way to add a personnel address book to my home computer?? At work I just go to Tools - services and add, but my home computer when I go to Tools - service it's looking to set-up my internet connection.

Is your home pc's outlook setup for corporate/workgroup or is it setup for internet email. This is found under the Tools Options and Mail Services in Outlook 2000. What version of Outlook are you running at home?

I should have 2000. I downloaded it off the office2000 disk. I not sure what the setup is. I'll look tonite. Where can I find this and how can I change it??

I would guess that it is setup for internet email, since when I go to "services" I needed to setup my internet connection.

After you go through the setup you should be able to add your PAB via the same steps as you do from the office. Or are you trying to use Outlook but not for e-mail? joegz

At work under "tools" I have "services...".
At home under "tools" I have "accounts...".

Not sure why the difference, but this is why I can't set up a PAB at home.

You said: "I should have 2000. I downloaded it off the office2000 disk."

Well, does the splash screen when you open Outlook say "Outlook 2000"? Better yet, go to Help->About...

Secondly, you can go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Mail to pull up the same options as Tools -> Services [deejay]

If your home outlook has tools accounts...this means that it is setup for Internet email and not corporate/workgroup email. You have to change it to be corporate/workgroup.

To change it to corporate will I have to remove it and reinstall??
Also, if it is setup for corporate will I be able to connect up to my internet provider??

I will try the control panel tonite and see what it says..

Thanks

I tried the control panel. It comes up with accounts.
