Is there a way to personalize share point so when different people log in they can get say the different items. By different items i mean they can have different links on their main page when they log in that other people can't see?

If you set up permissions at the site (and subsite) levels, only people with the correct permissions will see links to the sites they have access to.

But can you do it so that each person can see their own links?

Person a has this site as a link and they don't want any one else to see it when the log in. can that be done????

you can remove everyone else's permission for that site and just keep that person with access to it. that way, only that person will be able to see the site.

That sounds very complicated making it a permission level per person they can have their own links.

Does it means Audience Targeting can not applied in this circumstance?
I thought Audience Targeting is perfect in solving this trouble.
