Please advise on how I can get Personal Web Server on my Windows 98 PC.
I tried typing "localhost" in my Netscape Browser Location area and didnt get any response.
I want to do database queries on the web using HTML and Perl.
PHP Triad or FoxServ, projects on Source Forge, come with apache web server and php. You might look into them and see if they come wiht perl. Pretty sure they do. ===
Supports Mozilla and Web Standards
Knows HTML/XHTML, CSS1, JavaScript, PHP, C++, DOM1

and don't wory, it may say its for NT, but once it's missleading, it works for 9x too. not knowing is an excuse for those umwilling to lern -- John Rueben
Defrex, do not you lose many IIS funtions when installing it on a win box?
I took the MS IIS course and as per instructors it would be the case
however never tried it myself
defrex, which version did you dl for your win9x machine? I noticed that ther were several different versions listed and want to be sure and dl the correct one for my machine.
to tell you the truth i'm not sure. i dwnlded it a wile a go, and it dosen't seem to be the same thing. it all aperes to be updates and such, rather then the actual software. sorry i coulden't help more, if you brows the site you might be able to find it. not knowing is an excuse for those umwilling to lern -- John Rueben
