Hi Everyone!

We would like to create an email address for info@mydomain.com. How can I create this email address and allow a specific user or users (ex. user@mydomain.com) to have the ability to send and recieve emails under that address with out having to logon to their computer as Info?

Thanks
Will

create the account, grant full mailbox rights to whatever users you want. in outlook, have those users open this mailbox as a secondary, and give them the "From" field in their outlook view so they can use this address to reply.

Hi

Thanks for the response! The other issue we are having is that our network is split into 2 domains. domain1 and domain2 there is no trust setup between the two and domain2 is an nt4.0 domain. if i do create this new user account (info@mydomain.com) in domain1 (running windows 2000 & exchange server 2000) how do I provide the user in domain 2 access to this new email account?

Thanks Again
Will

what's the chances of setting up a trust? :)
Unfortunately, I don't see a way of doing it otherwise...

we currently have Ipswitch Imail setup which both domains use. Can you setup exchange so that it to setup an outlook profile it doesnt have to authenticate against who you are logged in as?

You can, In outlook 98/2000, under Exchange server properties--> Advanced, change the Logon Network Security from NT Password authentication to none. This will prompt the user to enter a username, password, and domain as they try to connect.
