I am running a Windows 2000 server with active directory services and a similar data server.
I am running 10 workstations with Windows 2000 pro.

Is there someone out there who could explain to me how permissions work.
Some of the users are able to drop mail into peoples folders and others are not.
Some are able to see inside peoples folders and others are not.

I would like to allow for dropping mail(OE6.0) into folders without being able to see inside the folders that they drop it into. This would be greatly appreciated.

About drop in without seeing i think if you give the folder write permission it will do it as for the premission is the ntfs permissions the same as the folder permission check that. how did you install 2000pro while on the network or of it ????? if on check your user rights if off log in locally as admin and set permission to folders and log in to the net they should be able to see them
