Hi, I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere. Any help is appreciated.
We have 2003 Server Standard Edition, SP2. Users log on using RDP on either a Wyse Terminal or an XP computer.
We have this one user (on an XP box) who has a locally connected printer that they connect to the server when they log on. By default only the administrators group, the power users group, and that user have access to print (or even see) that printer. We can change the permissions to allow everybody to print to it, but those permissions are not persistent. So when the user logs off and then logs back on, all the permissions reset.
How can I change the default so that everybody can print and see this printer? We don't want to make everybody a power user or administrator, and we are trying to avoid redoing the permissions every time this person logs on.
If it makes any difference, the printer is an HP LaserJet 1018 (which won't work on a JetDirect...LOL). Thank you in advance.
