Hi,
I have a windows XP machine that needs to be re-installed to factory settings wiping all the data. I've taken the hard drive out, placed it in a USB caddy and have copied the majority of the documents, music etc. onto my windows 7 machine. Some files wouldn't copy giving me an error 'you require permission from S-1-5-21 .....' so I right clicked on the folder, properties, security and changed the owner to me. It took a while propagating the change down through the folders, but when it did I closed explorer and tried to copy again.
It's now telling me that I need permission from myself! I'm not quite sure how to get round it. Andybody got any ideas?
Marc
