I have a issue I need some help with. We have a user whose account was migrated off an old NT domain to an Active Directory domain. Our logon script is suppose to write different information to the registry in HKCU based on a physical location he is logging on from. This write is failing dispite the fact that the user has the necessary permissions to write to the registry. No errors are visble it's just that no change is the registry occurs when the script runs.
Today we cloned his account which means that the new and old accounts have the same settings except the fact that the cloned account would not have the SID history from the old account. The new, cloned account works just fine.
Has anyone seen similar behavior on an account whre the SID History was migrated with the user when their account was migrated from NT to active Directory. If so, do you know what the issue is and how to go about fixing it?
