I am using Outlook 2003 on WinXP SP2. Eamil is coming through Exchange 2003 with Intellegent filter ect. Also running Groupshield for Exchange with Spam.
I have one user who does not want to see any junk emails. Currently they are going into the Junk email folder.
I have checked the box next to Permanently delete suspected junk email.....
But it does not seem to work. Junk email folder is still full.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hmmm.... If the DumpersterAlwaysOn registry setting is set, this might cause the JunkMail to not be automatically deleted.

As an admin, I wouldn't suggest that that setting be used. The whole purpose for the JunkMail folder is to catch false positives.

In theory, you could setup a management rule in Exchange to just clean the JunkMail folder. But again - false positives.

Thanks. I'll try the registry key. I'm experimenting on mine before I do it on the user who doesn't want to see any junk email. He swears there are no false positives. He's a partner so.....

I added the DumpsterAlwaysOn to hklm\software\microsoft\exchange\client\options and set it to 1.
But the Junkmail folder is still filling up.
I have Groupshiled on the network set to send suspected spam to the users junk email folder. Since it's going direcly to the folder and not to the inbox I think that is why it's not deleting the items when they come in. But I can't change the server settings just for one person.
Any ideas of an alternate ideas. I tried creating a rule to delete the items, but again they don't go to the inbox.
