I have been using PERL IDE by source forge for some time now. I still run across errors in the program. I am programming PERL more and more and feel it is justified spending a little change on a good IDE.

Any recommendations?

I most program CGI and dont have access to visualstudio's. I also use a windows environment almost exclusivly but am switching over to linux in the summer. I would appreciate comments from ppl using both OS.

And yes of course and want the most bang for the buck.

I don't use one, but activestate.com sells one and most of their stuff that I have used works pretty well.... 'hope this helps

I tried the IDE called Komodo from ActiveState. It's not bad, but it's pretty pricey.

Hi all,

You might want to look at UltraEdit.com for an IDE. We use it all over. I'm taking Oracle PL/SQL and took it to class the other day, loaded it and I just Alt-Tab between the two and I crank out code snippets so fast and I don't have to deal with NotePad. You'll love the fact that it morphs to any language. Plus you can work remote from a sites as it has a built-in FTP client as well. You can try free for 30 days, the price is $35 for the single copy.

Another program that you might want to try is BOXER, but it is pricer and is what I used before UE. UE is light and smaller, which is nice when your going from site to site.
