Performing a Calculation and storing it?

I want to calculate an average. I have the sum and the divisor. I want to display and store this number. Any ideas? Everything I try doesn't work.....

It's not good practice to store calculated values. If the underlying values change, the calculated ones do not dynamically change. You should be re-calculating them each time.....

That what I thought too. Ok, so why can't I calculate the value correctly?

=avg([Amount]/[TotalOrders])

Try an unbound text box with the control source:
=[Amount]/[TotalOrders]
and specify the Format as Percent
