Hi!
We have a compaq ML530 Server and a DL580 Server. I have massive performance problems when I copy a file from server A to server B.
The ML530 server (server A) has a NC6134 gigabit card and the DL580 (server B) a NC6136.
I thought the switch could be the problem, so i connected both cards with an x-link cable. that did not help at all.
The strange thing is that the speed depends on the direction in which i copy the data.
from server a:
copy a file from server b to local hdd (500MB): 2 minutes
copy a file from local hdd to server b (500MB): 40 seconds
The only protocol we use is TCP/IP. I tried both driver versions (2.87.287 and 3.63.363).
I've run out of ideas. Do you have any suggestion?
Oh, I nearly forgot: We have no card that shares its IRQ with the NIC.
Thx4help!
