Hi,
we are using Citrix Metaframe XP for our official purposes.
Earlier we had 2 -IBM X305 servers(these are PIV with 1GB RAM and 40gb ide hdd)which were sufficient for our workplace but as business started growing we had to get in an IBM Xseries 346 Xeon base server(this is with Xeon dual processor 1GB RAM and 80GB SCSI hdd). The issue that i am facing is as follows.
My applications published on the Citrix metaframe takes less time to load on the old IBM PIV server but takes longer to load on the new Xeon server.Ideally it should have been the other way round. But for some reason the application startup takes longer on the server with an enhanced configuration and loads faster on a relatively less config server. Also once loaded the application shows a better response on the PIV server and is slightly less responsive on the Xeon hardware.
Is there any fine tuning to be done in Citrix so that this problem is sorted.
Both servers are running Win2K with SP4 and all latest MS security patches.in short exactly identical in software and applications published via citrix.
Any ideas??
Regards,
Mayur
