Performance issues in 97 on Win2k?

Is anyone aware of reduced performance with Office apps on a Win2K OS running on a novell network? I have several new PCs which have Win2k and Office97 that are slow to print (network) and open/close/save files (network). They have to "think" for a long time. These problems seem to occur only with the Win2k PCs in Office97 apps. Other apps appear to be unaffected.

Yes, most other network issues have been ruled out.

Was Office reinstalled?
Is findfast running in the background?
Is Outlook journaling?

These are issues regardless of OS or network, but I thought if you reinstalled, these issues you might have learned about at one time could be baaaa-aaaack...

I have the same issue with a number of Windows 2000 PCs running Office 97 on a Novell Network.
I have re-applied the Office 97 SR2b several times (even though it does fix the problem temporarly). If you do find a fix please do let me know.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have installed several times, without fixing the problem. Perhaps this is Microsoft's way of saying pull out the checkbook boys, its time to upgrade...

When you reinstall, are you using Eraser 97?
