Performance agent failed

following an "awservices start" the prfagent fails with the following added to the awservices.log file. Any hints as to where to start debugging this appreciated.

2003-07-02 09:48:47.67 [F]-286c- awservice : THIS IS NOT AN ERROR MESSAGE. prfAgentrfAgent IS STOPPED

prfagent supports debug ie.

"prfagent debug"

this runs the agent interactively supply debug output.
This tells me that prfagent has not completed the installation.

No idea why this is a scripted installation and its never been a problem before.

I believe you need to patch your system to current levels.Check your applied PTF's against the CA website recs!

first stop the agent and then start the prfagent in the debug mode using the command prfagent start -l 4 (or ) prfagebt start -d 4 . Check your awservices file if the dependent services are already started or not. Prfagent requires aws_sadmin and aws_snmp to be started before it starts.
