Hi Guys

Does anybody have a definitive list of what ports a remote client PC off-site would need to use to access a Nice Perform 2 system.
There is a disgram Nice provide but it is so lame to understand and I'm getting nothing out of Nice themselves. Hopefully somebody has a simpler document they can send me or attach here.
I would also need to know which way the commuication is initiated / done (client to server / server to client) and which server requires which ports, etc.
Also apparently there are some arbitrary random ports used for playback between 1024 and 4096 - does anybody know if these can be limited and how?
Thanks

Sorry not sure of the standard ports, I thought it would have been 80 been a web based interface??

As to can you define playback ports go to system administrator/organisation/master site/applications/application servers/<Server name>

Select Workstation Settings

Your applications ports range can be specified here. I have a vague recollection that there may be issues with doing this though, I guess you can test it and see how it goes though.

Thanks Roaming.
There are a load of ports used within the Perform system, a lot are only between servers but there are some that are client to server. If only it were just port 80.

If you're talking about between integrations and apps and loggers then yeah but most of these will be internal to the apps server itself unless you have the modules spread across multiple servers.

Hope someone else can be more helpful

I have a nice doco detailing the network usage drop me a mail at mike _ bonser at hotmail dot com and I'll email it over

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
