Okay... I've seen this for several different reasons now...
The open procedure for service "TapiSrv" in DLL "tapiperf.dll" has taken longer than the established wait time to complete. The wait time in milliseconds is shown in the data.
Usually theres a Doc-Watson with an application, and underlying this, in the event-log, is the above message!
TechNet tells you basically nothing other than its a clash with Compaq Insite Manager (pre version 3.5?)and to install 3.5 or greater...
I'm interested in the 'why' as well as just a fix.
