I hope someone can help

If I group by a field in a table and some of the entries are NULL, then this has an impact on a percentage rating. i.e,

2,016 0.00%
A 7,675 13.11%
C 216 0.37%
D 24,057 41.08%
K 1 0.00%
P 26,601 45.43%
X 6 0.01%
60,575 100.00% (totals)

The top entry group is showing 0% although cleary there are 2,016 members in that group.

Does anyone know how to get around this wee problem?

Thanks

p.s the percent is merely a 'Pecentage of Count of...'

Go to file, options and make sure the "convert null field values to default" is turned on.

Another alternative is to test for nulls and assign a value. For example: If isnull({field}) then "null" else {field}. Then group on the formula field. This should solve your problem. Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports, Goldmine and MS Office

There is a File - Report Options setting that says "convert null to default" which might solve this.

Otherwise you might want to base the count on a field that is always filled in and use that for your percentage. The count doesn't have to be the same as the group field. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
