Has anyone had any experience with Pentalogic's SharePoint Reminder? The built-in alerts for lists are not especially useful for my organization and I think this might be the way to go. Thanks.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

It soulds like a lot of what their product does can be handled through workflows...

I need to set up multiple due date e-mail reminders and thought this would be quicker than using SharePoint Designer. I can't believe the built-in alerts don't include this functionality. Thanks.

How are the due dates set? If the due dates are set via a column, this would be really easy to set up using SPD. If the due dates are set at another time, it might be easier to use SharePoint Reminder. Without more information about what you want to accomplish it's hard to say. But saving your company the $$ from licensing by using a free tool like SPD might be worth expending a little extra time and make you look good.

I agree, but I don't find SPD to be especially intuitive and I have some users breathing down my neck a bit. Thanks.

If you can set up rules in OutLook you can make a workflow in SPD.

I might be able to offer suggestions for how to go about it. What are the exact requirements?
