Have a working NT 4.0 Workstation peer to peer network.
Have one mapped drive set to reconnect at login.

One station upon boot up and login displays an error:
An error occurred while reconnecting J:to\\WKS-7\Projects.
Microsoft Windows Network
The requested resource is in use.
Option: Do not try to restore the connection in the future.
This connection has not been restored.
Okay.

The station continues to login. In My Computer, the drive shows up with a disconnection symbol for the mapped drive, but when you click on the drive, it opens the drive and gives access to all of the files.

Does anyone what causes this error and how to correct?
Thanks!

Are you mapping the drive using a script or batch file? If so, it may be that the drive is already mapped by Windows. You can try disconnecting the drive, then logging off, then back on. This should clear any static mapping by Windows and the error should not pop up. A+, N+, MCP
