Peachtree link to excel

I am trying to take data from Peachtree to excel. I've read a lot about DDE. I'm not sure if that is the way to go. Using an excel worksheet with an Inventory Item Id and it's price in the only two columns on the sheet, have it change everytime that price changes in peachtree. If DDE is the way to go, I am unsure of how to get that information. I cannot find anything in any of the folders.

Are you just looking to get a list of of Inventory Items with their pricing into excel?

Is so, you can run an item list report report, select the columns (from the feilds tab) that you need and hit the excel button at the top of the report to place in excel.

Yes that is what I am trying to do. But the prices change almost daily. So I want the excel values to change with the peachtree values. But Only the inventory items on the excel sheet. I do not need them all.
