We have Peachtree Accounting Complete in our office. There is (1) Windows 2008 Server Domain Controller on which the Peachtree files are stored; the 'server component' is installed on the server so that the users on the LAN can access the files simultaneously. The Peachtree application has not been installed the server as it cannot be loaded on the server as the 'Peachtree Server component' has been installed. Here is the wrinkle. We have a remote user in another building that needs to access the Peachtree files. Of course, using RDP or any other (Terminal Server) access to the server is not the problem. The problem is that he obviously cannot launch the Peachtree software in order to generate a new invoice. Other than having this user RDP into a dedicated workstation on the LAN attached to the Domain Controller, is there any other way for this user to be able to RDP into the server and access/open the Peachtree files? Thank you for you assistance. It is well appreciated.

I've been supporting Peachtree since 1988. As far as I know you need a dedicated workstation in order for the remote user.

Peachtree should be able to install on the server where the data is stored. There are many times you may have to troubleshoot a problem and having the application on the server aids in the process.

This is a problem with Peachtree. It is a problem Sage wants to exist.
