Faced with having to decide on a standard file format (a decision from above) and given the choice of PDF or PostScript, I have discovered very few compelling reasons to ditch either of them. Adobe Acrobat can handle both, as can all our printers. I would be interested to hear any striking differences between the two formats in terms of cost or ease of use etc.
Thanks in advance.

Jibber, get on with your work and stop spending all your time in message forums.

Thankyou for your valuable contribution Darrenb, I am grateful that you could take some time out of your busy schedule to help me out.
Sarcasm aside, as least you actually replied. Perhaps I need to make my posts more interesting. Maybe if I asked why I'm getting an 'access denied' error while trying to hack into the FBI I may be able to stir up some interest.

To the best of my knowledge Postscript isn't really a file format only a printer language. If you're saving as Postscript you're actually saving a printer output file. If you have to go to only one, use PDF.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Many thanks MasterRacker. I do think it is odd that either should need to be discounted, but given the choice I think we will opt for PDF because of it's look when used for manuals and technical reference. The reason I asked was that for some reason my boss thinks that using PDF would be 'a bind' and I am looking for a convincing way of telling he is wrong!!
Thanks again.

Hope it helps. Keep in mind that this is not a chat site. A lot of people only log on once a day or less. If you put a post up, give it a couple of days to get a response.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com
