Hello all,

We are doing a side consulting job that needs pdf support. Specifically, I want to store pdfs as BLOBs in the db(trivial), then load them upon request into a Winforms preview where the user can read, print, fax, etc.

Ideally, we could allow users to search long pdfs and slice them apart using the same tools. There are about a billion pdf libraries. Rather than spend six months trying them out, I'm going to appeal to the community's collective experience.

Any suggestions?

Have you looked at pdfstore.com? We us ARTS Split Pro from artspdf.com to manage our pdfs.

Yeah, I did see it. The trouble here is the bewildering array of products. Its like being a kid in a candy shop, except everything costs $999 and comes with a complex developer license.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check out ARTS.
