I recently upgraded and installed Photoshop 7 on my computer, which also has PM, AI and Acrobat 5 and most of Office 97 installed.

I make a lot of PDFs from Word, and my method for doing this is to select Distiller as my printer. After doing so, a button appeared to the right of the printer name in the Print dialog box that allowed me to choose from four tabs, the last one of which was 'Adobe PDF settings'. It was here I could select 'Screen' of 'eBook' or whatever job options I wanted for that particular PDF. Since installing PS7, that tab is still there but has no label and when I click on it just displays a totally blank dropdown list.

I can still make a PDF by printing to postscript file first then launching Distiller and opening the PS file and making the PDF, but I miss the convenience of my previous method.

Any one suggest why this has happened? Is it possible the installation of PS had something to do with it? Is it just a matter of reinstalling Acrobat?

I installed Photoshop 7 after Acrobat 5 and nothing went wrong. I'd suggest reinstalling Acrobat and seeing if that fixes it. Otherwise... dunno!
