This is only affecting one user. Other users print from the same application to the same printer with no issues. She is using an Oracle Java application that outputs a file in PDF format displayed in a web browser. The print window is very slow to come up, and very slow to start printing. Here are some details:

OS: XP Pro SP3
Tried the following: Increased size of paging file, restarted the print spooler, lowered the dpi resolution in Adobe Reader, verified that "Print as Image" was not checked, created all new registry keys for the user's profile and cleared the Java memory cache.

Everything on the user's computer is now running as fast as new, but PDFs are still printing slower than molasses in winter! Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What printer is being used for these jobs and what driver type is installed like PCL or a PS driver ?

It's an HP laserjet 4250 with a PCL 6 driver. This is set up with a network print queue on our site appliance.

mikey, have you checked back? Using the PS driver?
Install locally.
