Exporting into PDF from Indesign CS was simple task because that PDF was readible from CorelDraw 12. Now with CS2 I have to open that pdf in Acrobat 6 (NOT 7!!) and save with other name, and in 90 (NOT 100)% it is ok.
I cannot even print from CS2 into PS and convert from Acrobat 6 into pdf!!
Is there some of you that have same problem.
It is not that I love Corel but it is because I work with CD manufacturers and printers in Switzerland and Deuchland and they returned my files with error messages. I suppouse that they use CorelDraw to make print from my PDF.
Again, if I use Indd INX to open file in CS and make PDF everything is OK, but direct from CS2 NOT. Please Help me.

It would help if you described what profiles that you are using. Check the options carefully as the same profile from CS1 has slightly different settings for CS2.

on my second pc I'm running only INDD CS2. Just making empty paper A4, type anything and export in all available presets even loaded from INDD CS1, but still error from CorelDraw. You can try this if you wish.

Funny thing is here:
If you print from indd cs2 in pdf with ex. free PDFRedirect you can get pdf that corelDraw can read, Acrobat can read but Photoshop cs2 CANNOT, ha!
It is like a magic

I think this might be a font issue. A workaround is to open the PDF in Acrobat. Then add a background waternmark with 0& transparency. Then make a new PDF using Advanced, Transparency, Convert all text to outlines (vectors 100&). Coreldraw should open this PDF because there are no fonts in it. Not perfect bt try it.

No fonts, no picture, just rectangle and no good.
Please, if anybody can import PDF done in indesign cs2 in CorelDraw let send me a file that I can test

It seems that the easiest solution to the problem is to use CS instead of CS2.

Since you have Acrobat you should be able to Print a pdf. Go to Print and select Adobe pdf as the printer. Select all necessary options, make the pdf and see how this goes - if compatible with Corel.

Using OSX 10.3.8 on a G4

Try opening the file in Acrobat, use PDF Optimiser to get it to version 4. This seems to work on my machine.

Were we ever going to get around to explaining what PDF profiles we are using with CS1 and CS2? My guess is that something is different.

If you can print to PDF via PDFRedirect then you are using PDFRedirect's profile. You need to mimic that same profile in CS2 (or copy the profile from CS1).

What profiles are being used? Screen? Print? PDF/X-1a? Custom?
