hi there,

i'm trying to pdf a single excel sheet (already set by 'set print area'). It looks just right in the print preview (after adjusting the borders and selecting the vertical and horizonatal centering check boxes).

problem is, whenever i then pdf this, the pdf document is much smaller (i.e. has thick white borders around it) and also it's offset to one side...

Has anyone come across this problem before?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you!

Are you "printing" a pdf? If so, make sure you have set Page setup on the File menu.

If using the Adobe PDF as the printer, make sure that the setting in Distiller are correct (Acrobat-Advanced menu-Distiller).

hi jmgalvin,

thanks for the tip there. I've checked it out and it's got nothing to do with Adobe.

The problem lies with Excel 2007.

For those who may encounter a similar problem, play around with the page setup settings in excel. key thing is to 'fit 1 page by 1 age' and not use use percentage scaling option. check the margin amounts too and uncheck any header/footer options.

worked for me... it's weird but hey, excel 2007 is damn buggy!

hope this helps someone!
