Can adobe forms (.pdf) be used as a background image in a form? What does the Active X control allow (its telling me I need proper license - I'm not sure which?)

What graphics format provides the best black & white clarity with the smallest file size? I have forms to convert - too tedious to recreate and they change frequently. BMP scans were 8MB each. The pdf file is only 14K (how is this possible?) Its a lot of detail, mixed fonts, at least one hundred little boxes???

Last question. I got Office 2000 Small Business Edition and then upgraded existing copy of Access 97 to 2000. My wizards don't work, Access tells me I don't have proper file converters installed etc. I've reinstalled Access - no difference. I'd like to get a clean Office 2000 Professional Edition. How? quickly and without buying a brand new copy?

Thank you for your help.

1. No a form can only use Bitmaps.
I suspect your error comes from something else. What Operating System are you using?
How much RAM and FREE Hard drive space

2. You can convert a bitmap to .jpg which is more useful than .pdf
I love this program “Paint Shop Pro”
3. Look at Ebay they have a lot of Office 2000 available for cheap with full licensing.

Dear DougP:

Thanks for the reply. I'm using Windows 98 Second Edition. I have 6.5 GB free on the hard drive. 128 MB of RAM.

Thanks for the suggestions about EBAY and Paint Shop Pro. I'm trying another option first. If that doesn't work, I'll give it a try.

Thanks again.
