PDF File Conversion

Guys, I have a PDF file that my employers lost the password to, and I need to convert it to a word document or the like to add to the report writer. Even a bit-map graphic could be used. Otherwise I have to try and do the report by hand for a state public form. Anyone know a way to convert such a document.

There are a few questions in your question.

1. To beat the password forgotten..... it is not ethical to discuss in open forum and if genuine.. contact the PDF people to get this unlocked.

2. How to create a word document from PDF, this must be easy using MS word and opening the PDF form suitably. In the process WOrd will convert it to a word document.

How to convert it and add it to report writer... If you are adding the whole part.. it is like adding your clip art or a picture or such stuff to your Report writer.. SO that is the clue.

Your (3).. state public form.. makes me think that your PDF formated thing need to be filled up with data and so what I suggested in (2) is not waht you are looking for.

SO at the end I am confused. You need to split and put the whole as simple questions which I think will help you to get best answers from this forum. Sorry for being critical rather than providing a convincing solution. ramani

No, your link suggests a conversion from a VFP report to a PDF document, his request is the other way around, from PDF to word. Mike Gagnon

Your question should be posted in forum223, Adobe: Acrobat, where you will various threads on the questions you have raised.

The short answer to 'I need to convert it to a word document or the like' is no, but there are workarounds, one being a screen capture of the .pdf to create a bitmap suitable for your purpose.
