Hi Adobe masters!
I have read several threads about this topic and am still very confused by what is actually being said. Can anyone help me to grasp what is going on when I try to export a PM6.5 publication to a PDF format and I get the error message "The Distiller has not created the PDF file please see the log file for details"
The log file then says:
Start Time: Friday, April 02, 2004 at 12:48 PM
Destination: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Distillr\Startup\EXAMPLE.pdf
Source: EXAMPLE.PS
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: setdistillerparams; ErrorInfo: CalCMYKProfile U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
Error accessing color profile: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
Distill Time: 0 seconds (00:00:00)
**** End of Job ****
As was suggested I downloaded the most recent postscript driver from Adobe site and installed it. I also tried to simply print to a virtual postscript printer (I don't have a postscript printer) as was suggested in another thread. Both Adobe Distiller and Generic Postscript Printer icons show up in my Printer folder.
All with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
