Evening,
Working on a very large Pdf document, 13.000 pages, and need to automaticly number them all.
Have tried several times but getting nowhere and was wondering if there is a limit for this operation.
The document was generated directly by my client and I received it already converted into Pdf format.
My initial idea was to insert the page numbering using the header and footer option ( I work/use Acrobat 9 Pro Extended) but on on choosing the header/footer option nothing happens. Actually something does happen, seems Acrobat is starting the operation and after 10-15 seconds shuts down completely.
I've tried on two Pc's and getting the same result and this gives me the idea that Acrobat is not able to handle such a big document.
If I knew Acrobat's limit on numbering pages I could divide the main document in to many smaller ones and work that way.
Biggest problem is that I'll be receiving a few of these massive doc's and hoped to work it all out without dividing.
As far as I know, there is no limit on the number of pages in a PDF document (except any limit imposed by memory). However, it's possible that Acrobat has a limit.
You might want to post your question in a forum that deals specifically with Adobe software. As JRB says, this is not really a FoxPro issue.
