Hi,

I defined a trust relationship between our local domain (in NT server) and an other one.
Then, from any WindowsNT station, I can map the drive of a server from the other domain.
I cannot do it from a windows2000 station.
Do you have any idea why it is not working. Do I have to do special things like adding the PDC in an ip helper-address from router interface ?
Do you know why it is working in NT and not in 2000 ? Do you thing it can be caused of the ip protocol differences between the two OS ?

Thanks for your help.

First of all there are no differences in IP protocol between NT an Win2K.

Has the Win2K pro machine been joined to the domain? Are you using WINS or DNS? DHCP?

If using WINS on you domain is your Win2k box? Vince Grice

I am using WinNT DHCP server and Novell DNS server, that works like a WINS server.

I just tested the adding of the server in the LMHOSTS file in the Win2000 station, and then it worked. Then I removed it and reboot it and it was still working !

So, I think my problem is solved until next one !

Anyway, maybe it was a problem of netbios broadcast.
