Hi,
I am new to SMS. I am just starting to get it setup. I have several remote offices with computers that are on different subnets that are not members of my AD. They connect to the main office via T1. I can't get SMS to discover them. Only the computers that are AD members are showing up.

How can I get SMS to manage these computers? I have defined the subnet boundries in the site settings.

Moe, are these remote computers on a different domain? In the same forrest?

Have you defined roaming boundaries?

Hope this Helps.

You might have to use Network Discovery. Do these machines belong to any domain? If so, you can use a logon script or computer startup script.

You should have configured, at least :

Site > Properties > Site Boundaries / Roaming Boundaries

Site > Site Settings > Discovery Methods > Network Discovery / Heartbeat Discovery / Active Directory Systems Discovery

Site > Site Settings > Client Agents > Hardware Inventory.

Hope this Helps.

The computers do not belong to any domain. If I manually install the client then they do show up, but I can't push any software to them.
