PCN 1886 - G450 memory may cause gateway reset.

If you have G450 media gateways I strongly recommend you look at PCN 1886. I am finding most media gateways with serial numbers beginning with 11N.. and 12N... have the modules noted in the PCN with model numbers SJ or SN. I have not found them in gateways with serial numbers beginning with 12TG... yet.
 
Is that concerns about replacing the current 256M RAM?
 
Ironically I just worked on a system that had an identical issue as described by the PCN, however the RAM was the RAM the PCN said was good (based up on the end of the serial number on the RAM module)

Just an FYI, it may have been pure luck.
 
The remedy to fix the reset issues is upgrading the firmware, not replacement of the memory.

Follow PSU 3666U, this is the Product Support Notice that tells you what firmware to use.
