Does anyone know how to format the PCMCIA(FlashDisk)this is the 8mb version for use in backing up a G3si release#9 system

You have to get the 'generic' on it. Hmm, been a while since I've played with an SI. For a G3R with optical drives all you have to do is a 'back disk full' to write the generic.

That command is not valid for G3si

I do not believe any generic is stored on a flash card on an si, csi, Guest Works. Only translations and announcements (if you saved them) are on a flash card. G3r class of switch however has the generic on the backup media, whatever it is (IE tape, optical drive etc)as well as the switch translatiuons.

Thanks for the info. I called Avaya and they have to send a rep. to replace the bad PCMCIA card. will not just swap the cards in the mail.

Yeah i had the same problem and the worst part was that they had sent me the wrong ones to begin with...
