My tech told me I could backup the option 11 - 4.0 to a compact Flash card. I went to the store and they only sell 128 and higher - no 64M. I got a 128 and a 512.
PBX says it needs to be formatted, how do I format it?
Can you see it at all from the PBX side?
There is a command "pcmciaformat" in the PDT to format flash cards.
A pcmcia card should not be formated in a win2003, xp or equal..
I always buy bilionton pcmcia card and they work! It does not have to be 64k. I use cards with more storage and that works fine.
I agree. Any PCMCIA / Compact flash size can be used. If by any chance one of them was formatted with a Windows 2000 or XP etc, Then it's possible to recover it by putting it into a digital camera that accepts it & using the camera format facility. I had a Canon powershot A70, which worked for me. I could then re use my 64 Meg sandisk card again.
Sennback, the pdt pcmciaformat command didn't work for me - in fact, it fouled up the flash card (sorta) even though it reported the format was successful. LD 43 BKO still didn't recognize the card.
To fix it, I put the PCMCIA adapter in a Windows 2000 laptop and went to a DOS prompt, then used FORMAT E: /FS:FAT to format the card with 16-bit FAT instead of FAT32. Since the CF card was "sorta" messed up it took awhile before the format started but it finally went ok. The card worked fine in the 11C then.
Lexar 64MB compact flash in a SanDisk adapter.
The backup doesn't seem very complete - BKO only backed up the U\DB folder. Is there a command that backs up everything, maybe through pdt?
