PCL XL error

this message come when i try to print from IE6.
my config is win2000 sp3 and a kyocera local printer.

I get that error:

PCL XL Error
Subsystem: Image
Error: ExtraData
Operator: ReadImage
Position: 96

This happens when I print from MS Powerpoint
What can I do?

All of the PCLXL errors mentioned above could be caused by one or more of the following:

- the application (Powerpoint, etc.) is not interfacing correctly with the chosen printer driver.
- the printer driver you are using is generating incorrect sequences in the PCLXL stream.
- the stream is being corrupted between the machine generating the stream, and the printer.

The brief descriptions in the previous posts imply that the first or second of these are the likely causes.

Not sure what you can do other than to check whether there are patches for the application(s), or updated printer drivers.

You could revert to using PCL5 drivers, rather than PCL6 (PCLXL) drivers, of course, but this might then give rise to other unrelated problems.

OK thank, i update my drivers for a special PCL release for kyocera printer and it work fine.
