I reformatted my hard drive which had Win 95. After I reinstalled the OS the system keeps looking for the PCI Bridge Driver and the PCI Bus Driver. I have tried using both a win95 & 98 disc to find the drivers with no success. My system no longer can communicate with the modem. Any ideas?

Look at the motherboard manufacturer's web site for updated motherboard chipset drivers.

This is a known issue for Windows 95 and there is a patch for it.
Send a request to kimber97@hotmail.com and I will send you the exe.

Kimber,

Thanks for your help and sending me the Patch. The patch seemed to work in that one of the Yellow exclamation points disappeared. However, I am still getting one under "other devices" in Device Manager. The system is still looking for a driver for the PCI Universal Serial Bus. Also, I still cannot get the modem to respond.

Any suggestions?

Hope you don't mind that I have posted your answer in back in the thread.
As I stated before, we like to have our conversations in the forums so that others can contribute and also benefit from our information.

As for your issue, go here and have a read.

Choose update driver after you double click the device you have no driver for...and go from there.

Good luck!

Followed your suggested to the ms site. The system I am using has Win 95 OSR 2. I tried pointing to the Windows\System folder and it did not find a driver for the PCI Universal Serial Bus. The knowledge base article identified 5 possible missing files. I found 4 on another mchine and copied the to a floppy and tried them as a source of the driver. This did not work either. The only file i could not find was usbcamd.sys. Any more ideas to find the PCI Universal Serial Bus driver?

Ok...that one is on the Win95 with USB support CD itself.
You will find it in the folder called OTHER in the USB folder.
Run it and you should be all set.

Good luck and post how you get along.
