The error says another backup is active.
I suggest you get Avaya Tier 3 to fix this or reboot the server and it will resolve your issue.

CM 3 had several issues related to backups. Their are several patches (depending on the version) that are available. Also the last patch 3.1.5 has most all fixes for CM 3.

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

Wibbers,

All this was done by remote access. I have not tried another card yet
Are you having bad experience with some vendors or card types?

Tier3,

If card is OK, how to fix this without rebooting the server ?

Thanks,

The Curious

Try these commands from linux

ls -l /var/lock/subsys/pccard_lock
rm /var/lock/subsys/pccard_lock

If you cannot remove the file, then someone with sroot permissions will have to do it for you. Or, you will have to reboot.

You don't have a bad card. It formatted without errors

You could also try this from linux
Again, this may only work if you are sroot.

ps -eaf | grep 17869

then use "kill -9 17869"
