I am looking for a source for a WD Caviar 205BA board.
Model # WD205BA-00AGA0
Drive was functional until catastrophic power supply failure nuked it.
Data is not worth the $$'s that a recovery service charges however I would like to try and recover it.
PCB is absoulutely fried with two components showing blowout damage.
Any help on source would be appreciated.

Short of contacting WD directly to see if they have any available - I've no good idea, but some suggestions...

The simplest approach (if you still like the drives) is buy another identical one and 'borrow' it's PCB for a while.

I tried "hard disk caviar" as a search on ebay, and found a few disks, but not the one you want. Maybe worth saving a search to see if one comes up in the near future.

Perhaps you could get a cheap disk with a "compatible" PCB, but that would require more research into which models were compatible with the one you have.
